Dr. Edmison grew up in Ottawa and Dunrobin, going to high school in Kanata. He attended the University of Waterloo, graduating in Optometry as class president in 1980. He then moved to Carleton Place and practiced with Bruce McDonald till he retired in 1985. Dr. Connie Madigan-Swant

Dr. Madigan-Swant received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo in 1991, graduating on the Dean’s Honour List. She was also the recipient of the Bausch & Lomb Scholorship Award, recognizing achievements in the area of contact lenses, she was also a member of Beta, Signa, Kappa an International Optometric Honor Fraternity. Dr. Madigan-Swant entered private practice in July 1991 with Dr. Ian Edmison and became an owner/partner in the clinic in 1994. Dr. Neil Haney

Dr. Haney is from The Pas, Manitoba, and joined Heritage Optometric Clinic in 2010. He received degrees in Biochemistry and Honours Biology from the University of Winnipeg in 2001. Dr. Haney also gained research experience at CancerCare Manitoba, which included the study of genetic malformations of the eye during early development. Dr. Haney received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo in 2008. He completed his Ocular Therapeutics externship at the Parkland State Hospital in Dallas, Texas and gained clinical experience working at full-scope private practices in Calgary and Victoria before graduating. Dr. Sameer Dedhar

Dr. Dedhar is very excited to have joined the wonderful team at Heritage Optometric and to be back in his hometown of Ottawa. After completing a Bachelor of Science degree at Carleton University in 2007, he went on to complete a second Bachelor of Science in Ophthalmic Medical Technology at the University of Ottawa Eye Institute in 2009. During his training, Dr. Dedhar gained valuable experience in ocular diagnostic testing and imaging while working alongside ophthalmologists in a variety of sub-specialties.
