Dr. Hamill graduated from the University of Waterloo's School of Optometry program in 2012 after completing a 4 year Honours Biomedical Science degree at the same university in 2008. Originally from Bala, Ontario, he recently moved to the Ottawa River Valley after completing a student placement at Heritage Optometric Clinic. Having worked closely with the great team here, Dr. Hamill knew he wanted to come back to the clinic and continue to explore the beautiful Ottawa region. Dr. Hamill is passionate about volunteer optometric work. As an optometry student he participated in an eye care mission to Ecuador and recently started providing vision care to Ontario athletes in the Special Olympics. During his leisure time Dr. Hamill enjoys spending time in the wilderness and has a particular interest in biking, snow shoeing and hockey. He is excited for the opportunity to be your eye care provider!
