It’s time to open our doors again! We are pleased to welcome you back to our office as of June 8th. Things will look a little different than you’ve been accustomed to. Here is what you can expect:
Personal Protective Equipment/Disinfection
All of our staff and doctors have been equipped and trained on the use of Personal Protective Equipment. We have taken further measures and have refitted our office with plexiglass shields and breath shields within the exam rooms. We are fully stocked with hand sanitizer and proper disinfecting solutions for surfaces and equipment.
All pre-booked patient appointments have been cancelled until further notice. As we are required to work at significantly reduced schedules and maintain proper distancing within the office, we will be working hard to deal with the number of patients who have had their appointments affected by the closure. Our staff will be calling patients to get a better understanding of your current eye care needs and will attempt to book those who have imminent concerns. To help accommodate patients, we have extended our hours from 8am-8pm Monday to Thursday and 8am-5pm on Friday. Patients will be screened for COVID symptoms at the time of booking and again upon entering the clinic. All patients at the age of 3 and above are required to wear a mask to enter.
We will be booking appointments for frame selection, repairs, adjustments and pickups. If you would like to make an appointment specifically for eyewear, please call our office (613-257-1711) and press 2 to be transferred to the optical department or send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Teleoptometry Virtual Appointments
We are pleased to offer patients Virtual Teleoptometry appointments through a secure platform called Doxy.me. These appointments can be useful for patients with red eyes, dry eyes, allergies and other vision concerns. Our doctors will do their best to recommend therapy, prescribe treatment or alternatively arrange an in-person visit where possible. Further information will be provided at time of booking.
